1. At the start of the cycle an idea occurs; this is going to be the subject or topic that the sender and the receiver are going to talk about.
2. This then moves into the second part of the stage which is when the message is coded. This is because you have thought about the idea and what you are going to say and you now have to work out how you are going to say it in a manner that is appropriate for example, saying it in an angry tone or by saying it in a sympathetic way.
3. The third stage is where the message is sent, this is when you have said your message to the receiver, the opposite person. As you have said this message you have decided the tone and way that you are going to say it.
4. In the fourth stage of this cycle the message has been received. This is shown when the receiver has listened to the message you have put across and said, this is clear when they act about the message you have put towards them through body language or a verbal response.
5. The fifth stage of the cycle is when the message has been decoded and they will along with processing the message, be processing the way in which you said it, they will know whether the message was good or bad through your use of expression and body language.
6. The final stage of the cycle is the sixth stage, when the message has been understood by the receiver; the message has now been fully understood and translated. The receiver would have taken into consideration the way in which you have said the message and the tone that you have said it in.
