What is Design Engineering?
A design engineer is a person who may be involved in any of various engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, textiles, aerospace, nuclear, manufacturing, systems, and structural /building/architectural. Design engineer helps in designing a products, which is known as design engineering.

What is Design Thinking?
Design thinking is the cognitive process from which design concepts emerge. Design thinking is related to problem solving but it isdifferent from problem-solving. It also includes decision-making, creativity, sketching and prototyping.

Importance of Desing thinking:
Thinking like a designer can certainly transform the way companies develop products/services, strategies, and processes.

 If companies can bring together what is most desirable from a human point of view with what is technologically feasible and also economically viable, they can certainly transform their businesses.

This also gives an opportunity to people who are not trained as designers to utilize creative tools to tackle a range of challenges.

Design Thinking Approach:
Empathize: Understand your users as clearly as possible and empathize with them.

Define: Clearly define the problem that needs to be sorted and bring out a lot of possible solutions.

 
Ideate: Channel your focus on the final outcomes, not the present constraints.

 
Prototype: Use prototypes for exploring possible solutions.

 
Test: Test your solutions, reflect on the results, improvise the solution, and repeat the process.

Team Building:
Team building is the first first step of design engineering. After team building you can start design thinking process to find the problem. Members are depended on you, but if you have few members in the group you can learn more.
Problem Identification:
The first step in the problem solving and decision making process is to identify and define the problem. A problem can be regarded as a difference between the actual situation and the desired situation.

As a part of design engineering concept, we have to identify one real problem and we have to find a solution. So, we want to make an application and website on Fake news verification System. With the help of experts , cyber cell and police , try to solve this problem.
Step by step working on problem
We have completed our first two phases of team selection and problem identification. In step by step working on the problem, the third phase will be prepare different canvases and have to note the different points related to problems. It will help in the implementation of the solution.

(All observations should be written in logbook first and then it should be written in canvases.)
