The winner will beannounced at the 31st Annual Big Apple Awards Gala in June 2018 atthe Oriental Mandarin Hotel in Manhattan.

”  The new award reflects that today’s champions of diversity arelikely to become tomorrow’s industry leaders. Recent data shows that “companiesthat embrace diversity and inclusion in all aspects of their business statisticallyoutperform their peers,” according to Bersin by Deloitte, a leading researchand advisory services firm. Diversecompanies report 2.3 times higher cash flow per employee and are nearly twiceas likely to be change-ready and innovation leaders. The Big Apple Diversity DataAward is part of PRSA-NY’s new results-driven diversityand inclusion initiative, inspired by Richard Edelman’s call for PR andcommunications professionals to be the conscienceof their clients and set the standard for ethics and transparency inbusiness.

PRSA-NY’s diversity and inclusion advisory board convened for thefirst time on January 16, 2018.  Inaddition to its focus on diversity data, the board plans to establish a seriesof certification workshops that promote multiculturalism and combat unconsciousbias: hidden prejudices that affect thinking, behaviors, and decision making inthe workplace.  Enter the 2018 Big AppleAwards now at XXXX.
