This is a hard choice to make because at the same time while we are drilling we are getting oil that is needed to other purposes but I do agree that we need to go green no matter what. I believe we need to look at both sides of the situation and find a solution that will help both parties out. I do agree that drilling oil is the way to go but we need to find alternative ways on drilling without harming the ozone layer and earth.By thinking of the fall backs of going green in drilling oil, we might lose the number of employments there currently are, domestic production and ever-increasing imports. By continuing to drill we are either saving money from importing oil from other countries.
We need to start thinking about the future and how it would affect us if we don’t go green. I do believe in solar power because that would promise a better recovery for America and also grant us more jobs. For example talking about solar energy, I have seen a movie where its in the future and how it would look.I don’t think I could adapt to that type of atmosphere because people aren’t allowed to go outside because of the hot temperatures. This is likely to happen if we continue to damage the ozone layer and continue damaging the earths surface that protects us. As we can se and heard in news, its getting hotter and this is a cause of all the damage that we have done. What’s to happen later on, are we going to damage ourselves because of greed? This is a serious topic and something needs to be done to save us from a future filled with suffering.
Going green and using solar power will help with pollution, the only pollution produced as a result of solar panels is the manufacturing of these devices in factories, transportation of the goods, and installation. A pro of solar power is the ability to harness electricity in remote locations that are not linked to a national grid. A prime example of this is in space, where satellites are powered by high efficiency solar cells. Sometimes it takes necessary judgments to want to help out. People who are against the solar power are not thinking about the future that awaits them and how this will affect their future families. One of the major setbacks in solar energy is the initial cost of solar cells. Currently, prices of highly efficient solar cells can be expensive and some households may need more than one unit for their homes, which will make the initial installation of solar panels very costly for a single home. Solar energy is only able to generate electricity during daylight hours.
This means for around half of each day, solar panels are not producing energy for your home. The weather can affect the efficiency of solar cells.Pollution can be a con of solar energy, as pollution levels can affect a solar cells efficiency, this would be a major con for businesses or industry wishing to install solar panels in heavily polluted areas, such as cities. In conclusion, we need to start thinking of the future and the cost for making this happen.
I am for saving energy and saving earth from disaster. We need to start budgeting how and where we will get this money and make this happen. Maybe one people are able to see how this will help them, it will allow them to change sides and be for this green zone.
