Big achievements start on small ideas. Research allows you to pursue your interests, to learn something new, to hone your problem-solving skills and to challenge yourself in new ways. Working on a faculty-initiated research project gives you the opportunity work closely with a mentor–a faculty member or other experienced researcher. With a self-initiated research project, you leave Berkeley with a product that represents the distillation of your interests and studies, and possibly, a real contribution to knowledge. (University of California, Berkeley, n. d. Research can help shed light on your target’s – the person or organization that wields power over your problem or question of interest – weaknesses, such as patterns of law breaking, bad behaviour, character flaws, or a laissez-faire attitude toward regulatory compliance.
You can unearth this sort of information by doing some detective work; checking your target on the internet, talking with sources close to the target and, unsavoury as it may seem, going through your target’s garbage – literally (double check with your municipality laws, but most of the time once garbage is on the curb, its fair game! The important thing here is that if you can’t find any misdeeds, bad behaviour, or old skeletons that you can “generously” share with the press, you may want to choose a different target! Although we value knowledge creation for its own sake, the benefits of our research to the local, national and international community are numerous. Local people benefit directly from the expertise of University-trained medical professionals working in health trusts across the North West and further afield, while on an international scale, our impact is no less impressive.Major scientific advances such as Rutherford’s work leading to the splitting of the atom and the development of the world’s first modern computer put us at the forefront of innovation.
Internet research can help to identify people who share an interest with your group’s issue – and perhaps share a similar disregard for your target. As you know, internet technology is a fabulous resource to connect with other people who share your passions and goals. (Collette, 2004). Thesis is like research. Thesis is a dissertation on a particular subject in which one has done original research, as one presented by a candidate for a diploma or degree. Houghton Mifflin Company, 2005). Also thesis is a document that summarized the main point of a research paper and it is developed and explained in the text by means of examples and evidence. It is also a proposition or put forward for consideration that a person advances and proves to maintained against objections.
Conducting is not just that simple it is very time consuming and frustrating. Time consuming in gathering information, basis, reference and even researches on internet and on books that already been published. Think about the cell phone and computer you use every day to do your job. Think about the car you drive to take to work.Think about the food you eat; water you drink; clothes you wear; and appliances you use to store, prepare, and clean them. Think about the television you watch, video games you play, or music system you listen to.
Think about the buildings you visit. Think about any modern convenience or necessity. Just about anything you can think of is the result of complex processes. Without talented individuals to design, build, improve, and maintain these processes, these technological advances would never have occurred and future innovations would be impossible.
Without automation professionals, our world and our future would be very different.Ability grouping has been found to have few benefits and many risks. When homogeneous and heterogeneous groups of students are taught identical curricula, there appear to be few advantages to homogeneous grouping in terms of academic achievement. More able students make greater academic progress when separated from their fellow students and given an accelerated course of study. Less able students who are segregated from their more able peers are at risk of being taught an inferior curriculum and consigned to low tracks for their entire academic career. The value of ability grouping in schools is a subject of much debate.Supporters of ability grouping argue that there are ef? ciency effects to be gained for all students by putting similar students into classes that can be tailored to their abilities. However, opponents of ability grouping argue that there are also peer group effects so that the achievement of a given student depends not only on his or her initial ability, but also on the average ability of the class.
Thus, having high-achieving and motivated students in the class raises everyone’s level of achievement, and by grouping, schools essentially harm the lower ability students by separating them from the high ability students. The peer group effect includes potential harm done to test scores of low ability students due to lowered expectations and self-esteem. (Elsevier Science Ltd.
, 1999) Does ability grouping harm self-esteem? Little research indicates that tracking harms students’ self-esteem. In fact the evidence slightly leans toward the conclusion that low ability students self -concept is strengthen by grouping and tracking. Although the effect is insignificant, the public labelling of low achieving students can cause embarrassment. On the other hand, does ability grouping hurt the self-esteem of gifted students? The answer is no.
Parents and teachers naturally assume that students will become arrogant if they are identified for a high ability group. Others believe that gifted students’ confidence and self-esteem will drop if they are placed with other highly placed students. This assumption is slightly true. Yes, gifted students will compare themselves with other gifted students, but there is no overall lasting effect. (Willingham, 2007). Partnership is another form of grouping.
A partnership is a strategic alliance or relationship between two or more people.Successful partnerships are often based on trust, equality, and mutual understanding and obligations. Partnerships can be formal, where each party’s roles and obligations are spelled out in a written agreement, or informal, where the roles and obligations are assumed or agreed to verbally.
You may be able to choose your partner or, as is often the case, your partner may be assigned to you. Partners are often necessary when working in a foreign country, not only to bridge language barriers, but also to help you perform your work efficiently without falling into the traditional cross-cultural traps one encounters in a foreign setting.Working with men and women allows you to become acquainted with society rapidly. You will be able to meet the right people quickly instead of spending valuable time building up your own network. Your partnerships can help you avoid cultural blunders along the way. Working with a partner is, of course, fraught with pitfalls. A partnership that has gone sour can cause bitter feelings and spoil a business deal. It is important for both parties to be open-minded and accepting of each other’s differences.
There must be a willingness to learn and adapt. Both partners must be willing to exchange their technical knowledge and to relate as equals in a shared future. Manual grouping will allow instructors to divide students who are enrolled into their course into groups. Furthermore, it will also allow instructors to create groups of groups known as groupings. This groups feature allows groups of students to work more closely with one another and also provides instructors with some administrative capabilities, especially in large course that are divided into sections. The groupings feature also allows activities to be restricted to a particular grouping. This could be useful for large courses in which individual sections have separate activities. Automatically create groups can be based on either the number of students an instructor wants each group or the number of groups the instructor wants to create.
System both creates the groups and puts student into the group either randomly or by averaged of grades. This method would be preferable if the instructor assign students into a group for a particular group project according to their averaged grade. Automation professionals are responsible for solving complex problems in many vital aspects of industry and its processes. The work of automation professionals is critically important to the preservation of the health, safety, and welfare of the public and to the sustainability and enhancement of our quality of life. (The Automation Federation, 2013). It is popular in most industries to optimize the production, productivity, and delivery of services. In today’s time almost everything is automated. Our apparatus, devices, machines etc.
is now operated with minimal human intervention, meaning a particular process is now increase its reliability and efficiency. If we use automated system today we may have spare time because system is working for us. We do not need watching the charts all the time. Although the convenience can be impressive, there are a few disadvantages of automation that can make it questionable. The high cost of initial start-up of this type of a system can be overwhelming.
In addition, these systems are not fool proof. They can come with risks of making your business vulnerable to security threats. This can make it necessary to employ professionals to maintain the system, possibly costing more than is saved. (“Disadvantages of Automation? n.
d. ) Automated System is any system where an input is provided and a machine or computer carries out a process that produces an output. It also removes the need for people involvement in every step of machine operation. Computer technology controls the process by continually sending instruction to the monitors and switches in the equipment to operate it correctly. The Intelligent Team Conglomeration will help CdD especially School of Information Technology Education to expedite the operation which includes shortening the time required for Team Conglomeration process. The main objective of the study is to eliminate all the problems encountered by the department.
The developers come up with Intelligent Team Conglomeration System to improve the traditional process. The developed system will help School of Information Technology Education to group all enrolled students in Project Management. In this way it will make the process faster than before. Conceptual Framework The developers used Input-Process-Output (IPO) to present paradigm of the study that illustrates the relationship between the input and output. The paradigm of the study exhibits the skeletal framework of the research study. to determine the hardware and software requirements of the system; 3. to specify the features of the system. Significance of the Study The project study intents to contribute reference materials over the internet and to promote conducting researches. The beneficiaries of the study are the following: Researchers. It is evident from the results that Internet has had a great impact on the academic environment.
The researchers are making maximum use of the internet feeling comfortable of gaining information, finding literatures and proofs to support their research. Also researchers will have a positive impact on their study and research because have more time to look and evaluate research materials that they have to provide relevant research work. School. With the use of this system, the institution will have a reliable and faster way of generating groups specially for the School of Information and Technology Education. Students. With the use of the system students will now easily know their groupings and their group mates.
The results will be posts in school Bulletin board or through internet. Professor. It will ease the work of the professors because the system will automatically arrange the students into groups. The arrangement of groupings will become fast and more efficient.
Future Researchers. This document will serve as a handbook or manual for the future researchers if they tend to developed similar studies. Also the system will serve as a stepping stone for the future researchers on how they will enhance the system’s features and functionalities.Scope and Limitations The study will focus in the development of the Intelligent Team Conglomeration for Project Management Students of CdD. The system will be using VB as its platform and will be using MySQL as its database management. The system include the sorting of the names and average grade of the students who are enrolled in Project Management. The system can printout the automated grouping results made and process by the system. The system allows the System Operators to specify the number of groups, allocate the members manually, randomly or by grades.
Group force can also be used if there’s an extra student left. The System Operators are the only one who can access the system. The students can be able to see the system but they doesn’t have any permission to use it.
