Comparing Robert Frost And Emily Dickenson The Poems I’ve Chosen is Fire and ice by Robert frost and Part one life CXXXIII by Emily Dickenson the two poems are speaking of the destruction of the mind of a person as if the only blame for there problems is them selfs and there contanes got to them both. Now to begin what Mr. Frost is describing when he says “I hold those who favor fire but if it had to perish twice I think I know enough of hate to say that for destruction of ice is also great and would suffice.

He’s saying he’s been through the destruction of fire before and between the choices of the two hells Fire of Ice either way it goes he’s been through the depths of hell so now he’s challenging the ice as if it’s a greater way of destruction almost as if he doesn’t care how it ends lets just get to the end where the pain goes away. Now with Mrs.Dickenson she explains that “ you cannot fold a flood and put it in a drawer” now what she is saying is with the problems you create you cannot just hide a flood of problems they will always keep building and it would be the destruction of you. You would simple become over encumbered with this secret just as the drawer would leak. To be more specific where the two combined there saying the same thing like as long as theres a way to be burdend they will find it as long as the problems of life swing there way it will forever be the end of them
