We were forced to seal and redesign the underside of our craft to create an air cushion that was better suited for flight. The only other issue that was brought forth, was that the operator had to adjust his riding position to focus the majority of his weight into the center of the craft. Other than these minor problems, the remaining components of this project provided us with a hands-on learning experience for the concepts presented in this course.Conclusion: After conducting this experiment, we discovered that our hovercraft was efficient in terms of work in versus work out. Another finding was that due to the higher pressure inside the tarp and low pressure outside the tarp, the craft lifted off the ground.

We noticed that by using a HVAC pipe with a 4 inch diameter, the volume flow rate was more than using a pipe with a 2 inch diameter. This increase in volume flow rate lead to a higher lift off the ground.
