Forgiveness is typically defined as the process of concluding resentment, indignation or anger as a result of perceived offense, difference or mistake, or ceasing to demand punishment of restitution.
But I think that it is an act of imagination. It challenges over to give up his destructive thoughts about a situation and to believe in the possibility of the better future. Forgiveness is a gift that you give to yourself. It is not something you do to someone else.It has a little or nothing to do with another person, because it is an internal matter. You cannot undo anything you have already done, but you can face up to it, tell the truth and seek forgiveness. Forgiving is love’s toughest work and love’s biggest risk. If you twist it into something it was never meant to be, it can make you a doormat or an insufferable manipulator.
Forgiving seems almost unnatural. Our sense of fairness tells us people should pay for the wrong they do. But forgiving is love’s power to break nature’s rule. The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of strong.Never does the humans soul so strong as when it forgoes revenge and dares forgive an injury, but being strong is not always as easy as it seems. During our lives, sometimes we have the moment when we need somebody’s help, when something seems impossible for us or just when we are unable to forgive.
Theoretically we know that choosing forgiveness is the best way to behave as the God had told: “forgive and you will be forgiven”. Inability to forgive is a trap which only hurts yourself and it can make your life miserable. An Enemy: Having an enemy means that sometimes in your life, you have to stood up for something. They are the people who first found out your faults, who tells you truth about you and about everything, who wants you to be unhappy and do things wrong. They are people who we don’t like, don’t respect, don’t care about them and we know that we don’t have any interest of heart. So whenever they hurt us, we aren’t going to lose any sleep over it, because we don’t expect anything good from them. They always want to hurt us, make our live insufferable, even worse they want us to devastate. They are full of with cruelty, with envy, with hate, with anger…They have lot of fears on their souls, that destroys personality.
They are happy and satisfied when see that we are in pain, we are unhappy. I have no idea how they can live with it. How they can even sleep and couldn’t realize that what they are doing is so bad and brings so many damages that we cannot fix it our whole life. As for me I’m so sorry for my enemies.
Sometimes I think of what have done to the persons hated. We have seen ugly consequence in the ignominious death brought to six million Jews by hate-obsessed madman named Hither. We cannot get rid of an enemy by meeting hate with hate, we can get rid of an enemy by meeting hate with love.By it’s very nature, hate destroys and fears down, but love creates and builds up. Love transforms with redemptive power.
A Friend : But best friend is a person who comes in when the rest goes out. He is someone we love, we respect, cannot live without him, who loves us in spite of everything, who knows us better than anyone else, who helps us when we need someone, who is holding our hand when we are in pain… When it hurts to look back, and we’re scared to look ahead, we can look beside us and our best friend will be there because he always worries about us.The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had, is someone who knows there’s something wrong even when you have the biggest smile on your face. Friends are those rare people who ask how you are and then wait to hear the answer. True friend are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
When sometimes they do something wrong we easily get angry and we are impossible to forgive. As I have mentioned above, only the strong can forgive.Though sometimes we think that we are strong, this feeling is not familiar to us. We are unable to forgive our friends. As the writer William Black said – Sometimes it is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive our friends. I agree with him and would like to add a few words.
When I first read this statement I smiled and thought that it wasn’t right, but after I have thought over it, I realized and agreed. Enemies are the people who always hurt us, always try to do something wrong, but they are not in our hearts. They are unable to hurt our feelings and we can forgive them easily, because we are sorry for them. And as for friends, we love them more than ourselves, we respect them, they are in our hearts. We can’t even imagine that one day they will do something that betrays us, because we trust them. That’s why when they do something wrong or betray us they hurt us incredibly and we are unable to forgive them in spite of many tries of forgiving. How We Can Forgive ? Forgiveness does not came easy for most of us. Our natural instinct is to recoil in self-protection when we’ve been injured.
We don’t naturally overflow with mercy, grace and forgiveness when we’ve been wronged. I know that forgiving anyone is easier to say, than to do. Friends are capable of hurting us worse and hurting us more than an enemy ever can. In order to allow ourselves to change we must let go of the past. If we choose to cling to old fears, needs, and resentments than we unable ourselves to look forward to bigger and better opportunities. One of the best ways to allow ourselves to move forward is through forgiveness. We forgive by faith, out of obedience.
Since forgiveness goes against our nature, we must forgive by faith, whether we feel like it or not. We must trust God to do the work in us that needs to be done so that the forgiveness will be complete. We will know it is complete when we experience the freedom that comes as a result. We are the ones who suffer the most when we choose not to forgive. When we forgive, God sets our hearts free from the anger, bitterness, resentment and hust that previously imprisoned us.Sometimes I feel that to forgive is to set a prisoner free and then discover that the prisoner was you. But it’s not a one-time choise and then we automatically live in a state of forgiveness.
It may require a lifetime of forgiving, but we must continue forgiving until the matter is settled in our heart. And the best reason to forgive is because Jesus commanded us to forgive. We learn from Scripture, if we don’t forgive, neither will be forgiven. So in spite of this that it is the hardest choise to forgive and forgot, we have to do it.
