Everyone has cheated in some way or another in their life time. It usually has some kind of consequence, which can either be good or bad. It all depends on the choices you make that will determine the rest of your life. Cheating is a common issue that affects many students at one time or another throughout school. There are many different ways of cheating such as copying homework, looking over at someone’s test, plagiarizing, and so on. Nothing good comes from cheating your way through school, the only person you are cheating is yourself.
Cheating is most likely to occur in students who are lazy or lack in their studies. Students who skip class or do not study are most likely not able to pass on their own. Therefore, they find that cheating is a good and easy way to pass. Nothing is gained by cheating. Of course a better grade but they are not learning anything by stealing somebody’s hard work. The cheater may be passing the class with a gray grade but where will the cheer be when in the finals come around and they no longer have a way to cheat.
Over all, the amount of consequences that can be used to deal with cheating are too many. It could be dealt seriously with harsh consequences or dealt not seriously and be left alone. Ultimately, just having to live with knowing deep down inside that what you have done is wrong is a punishment all in itself. Some may say cheating is not wrong unless the person gets caught but cheating is no different than stealing, and stealing is wrong in every standard. It’s all because people don’t believe in their self to work to their best ability and learn the right way. Everyone should want to be the best they can be without cheating in life. Cheating in the long run will only hurt you in the future.
