How earning money. Albert Einstein once said,

How many of you aren’t sure on your future career? Who would like to have a better idea about where they see themselves? So, what if I told you that I have a response to all your questions. Well, the answer is work experience. I believe work experience should be offered to every individual as it teaches a fundamental skill; being perseverant to achieve success. Work experience gives an idea of how the world of work will be like, it’s an opportunity to work with others and to make decisions about your future career. It gives pupils an idea of what their dream job will involve and the effort that goes into earning money. Albert Einstein once said, “Life is like a bicycle to maintain balance you must keep moving.” By using your initiative, everyone can strive to success. I know what you’re thinking, I must be making most of this up, however I have first-hand experience of experiencing the world of work.
On my work experience I went to Hodge Hill Primary, it is a school which works with children aged between five and eleven. Well, I got my placement by going to the schools’ office and politely asked a member of staff whether they had any work experience placements. So, she asked for my placement form which I gave to fill in. The very next day, I went back to collect my form and was told what to do when I would first arrive. It seemed like a long way to go, however when the first day for work experience came I was extremely nervous as I didn’t know who I was going to be working with or what I’d be doing that week.
I was introduced to the team of workers and the area I’d be working in. Firstly, I was shown the children’s data protection act and given the rules of how I should approach the children. Once I was shown the ropes, I was asked to work with a small group of children, which took a while, so you could say that work experience taught me to be patient. Throughout the week I was given different activities to do with the children. Moreover, I had to do work which was out my comfort zones which grew my confidence, as I knew I had achieved something. I’ve used these skills not only to my work but to my school studies. During the work experience week, I’ve realised that my education is a key aspect into getting my dream career.
Work experience should be encouraged to all students and made compulsory as work experience teaches skills to students in ways which aren’t usually taught in schools. Students can gain an insight into what their future jobs will be like. If money can truly buy happiness, then there’s a chance for students to find what wages there are for that job. I was quite happy with my employers’ reports, as I didn’t have any negative comments on my feedback sheet.
