It $350,000, and Stallone did not back

It has been said that one of the most inspirational stories is the one from Sylvester Stallone. Before becoming a star, he was completely broke. At the point that he stole jewelry from his wife, could not pay for rent, was homeless, and even sold his dog.
Two weeks after he sold his dog, Stallone saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script of Rocky.
Stallone offered his script to a few studios and most of them rejected except for one that offered $125,000, then he accepted under one condition that he most me Rocky. The studio refused his request because they thought that Stallone was not suitable for the role. A few weeks later, the studio increased the offer to $250,000 and to $350,000, and Stallone did not back down, he wanted the role of “Rocky”.
At the end, the studio offered Stallone $35,000 for the script and he could be Rocky. After that, we all know the rest of the story. The Rocky movie was a huge success. It even won Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing at the Oscar Awards. Stallone was nominated for best actor. And the movie Rocky was included in the American National Film Registry as one of the best pictures ever.
I guess that Stallone could have sell his script to the studio for $350,000 and solve temporarily his economic situation, however, the only detail that made him be successful as an actor is that he wanted to be Rocky. Even if it was his dream or gut feeling that he needed to be Rocky, not giving up on that made him the successful actor.
