Abortion became a huge debatable issue that is widely accepted or rejected around the world this past years. It is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. Historically, abortions have been attempted using herbal medicines , sharp took , with force or through other traditional methods. There are various arguments and debates over moral , ethical and legal issues of abortion. Abortion should not be implemented or legalized for it contradicts the natural right of a human which is the right to live and promote and protect life , and it also brings disadvantages for pregnant women who undergoes this.
Abortion is a crime. Human life begins at fertilization and when a pregnant undergo abortion, it is considered immoral killing. In Article III of the Philippine Constitution of 1987 on Section 1 states that “No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of the laws”. Humans should not be prohibited the life he deserves and should also experience what life is. Killing an innocent child in the womb of the pregnant women is immoral, and should be punished for doing so.
Abortion is not safe to health of women because there are complications to unsafe processing of abortion. Pregnant women may experience heavy bleeding that needs blood transfusion and with some cases that the uterus will be removed. In this case, women can’t no longer bear their own child because of their own selfish choice. While in the process, their life will be at risk because not all the time, the process of abortion is successful. Women should be aware of what health risks they will be facing if they undergo abortion.
For other people, the legalization of abortion would give a peace of mind to the woman, especially when the pregnancy was a result of rape. For me, it will not give a peace of mind to women but it will make depressed them more thinking that they kill their own child of their own blood with their own hands. Killing an innocent child is immoral , and to kill is a crime. Those children who died because of abortion should be given the chance to live in this world, might not with their own parents but atleast live under orpahanages and other government institutions.
Abortion should not be implemented or legalized for it contradicts the natural right of a human which is the right to live and promote and protect life , and it also brings disadvantages for pregnant women who undergoes this. The human has the fundamental right to life, people deserves to live in this world. As for women, they should give a chance to their own child to live and not by taking its own life for killing is a crime. Each one of us should remember that “God’s purpose is to give life meaning”.
