Describe the duties and responsibilities of own work role
There are various duties and responsibilities that need to be performed by the worker. It is important to maintain a friendly, healthy and positive atmosphere in the workplace. To get involved in activities engaged in the development of health and social care of children and young people. It must be planned in advance that what actions will be taken to meet the children’s needs and demands. The person is obliged to perform the work as per expectations. 1.1.1
Explain expectations about own work role as expressed in relevant standards
Codes of Practice, National Occupation Standards, Care Quality Commission Standards, Domiciliary Care Regulations 2002 and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 are some of the standards that guide own work role. While working the person needs to comply with all the rules and regulations of the standards. It is important to work in a manner so as to maintain harmony in the workplace. 1.1.2
Explain the importance of reflective practice in continuously improving the quality of service provided
It is important to improve the quality of services in order to satisfy users in an appropriate manner. Nothing remains the same; every work needs some kind of modification as well as improvement. The services need to be reviewed and updated records must be maintained to identify the improvement areas. 2.2.3
Describe how own values, belief systems and experiences may affect working practice
Different persons have different values, beliefs, and experiences which influence the working practices of an individual. Sometimes when there are disputes between values and beliefs of two persons, it may create a negative feeling which influences the work. It is important to build positive relations by respecting the values, beliefs, and attitude of every person.

Identify sources of support for planning and reviewing own development: Performance appraisal, supervision, discussions, training, and meeting are some of the formal sources for planning and reviewing own development. Informal sources can be friends, colleagues, and families for developing the quality of service. These help the person to work on the target areas and take initiative to develop themselves for better working. 4.4.1
Evaluate how learning activities have affected practice
Some of the learning activities that affect practices are concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualisation, and active experimentation. People usually learn from past experience and plan what needs to be done in future. Strength and weakness can be pointed out through learning which can be used by the person to improve the target areas. Learning allows evaluating the present and past situations and putting you in the same condition as before.
