The overall findings through the

overall findings through the ergonometric cycle test found that exercise has a
significant effect on heart rate values. Exercise, increases a demand for
oxygen and increases the need to remove carbon dioxide, therefore causing the
body to increase its heart rate. With can evidently be seen in Table I and
Figures I and II.  This increase in heart
is caused by the sympathetic nervous system. Additionally, the age of a subject
was found to have a 0.02 correlation with heart rate values, however age has
been seen to effect MHR values. Finally, it was apparent that the
parasympathetic system is responsible for heart rate reduction after the
cessation of exercise, allowing the body to return to normal cardiac state.
