To Whom It May Concern:I am pleased to recommend Brian Budge for admission to Georgia Tech’s Online Masters in Computer Science Program. I was responsible for hiring Brian to our software engineering team at Siemens PLM Software in May of 2016 and have had the pleasure of working with him since.During his time with Siemens PLM Software, Brian has demonstrated many characteristics which have made him an exceptional member of our team and will make him a valuable member of your academic program.Brian has always had confidence, passion, and enthusiasm when taking on new assignments. Whether they are new challenging tasks like learning a new skill or technology or helping a team member learn a new area. Brian consistently delivers high-quality software for our organization. This speaks to his overall intellect and ability to learn, attributes that will serve him well in his graduate study.
While Brian is a relatively junior member of our organization as measured by tenure, he quickly established himself as a go-to person in the product domains in which he has worked. He has been ever-willing to work with members of our organization to share his knowledge and expertise, most notably as a mentor for our students in the co-op program. What I find most engaging in Brian’s character are his wide-ranging interests outside of software. Two of his abiding interests are running and exploring other areas of computer science on his own such as functional programming, data science, and bioinformatics. He can be quickly engaged in an in-depth discussion on any of these topics. Brian’s broad range of interests speaks well to his potential as a researcher, both in bringing a wide range of theory to the research at hand, as well as carrying forward new hypotheses of interest to researchers.Brian Budge is a valued member of our organization whom we have learned we can rely on, regardless of the difficulty of the task at hand or the novelty of the challenge.
His combination of intelligence, commitment, perseverance, creativity, and a compassionate character will certainly make him a valuable member of any academic program.Sincerely,Tony NoertkerSoftware Engineering Manager – Microservice DevelopmentSiemens PLM2000 Eastman Drive Milford, OH [email protected]
